Two more satellite events of the Sydney Writers Festival comes to Wollongong Art Gallery with Rocket Readings on April 29 and the Black Wallaby Indigenous Writers Night on May 3.

The former is a lively poetry event hosted by Illawarra writer Linda Godfrey, featuring live readings from established authors and an open mic.

The latter is the South Coast Writers Centre’s most notable Indigenous literary event of the year with readings from Aunty Barbara Nicholson, Friederike Krishnabhakdi-Vasilakis, John Muk Muk Burke, plus guest writers Lachlan McPherson and Gabrielle “Journey” Jones.
The Black Wallaby evening will also see an auction of Aboriginal art to raise money for the SCWC Indigenous Literary program.
