The talented daughter of High Chapparral flashed down the outside to grab Tinkermosa and salute in the Joseph Michael Stephen Memorial Class 1 Handicap (1500m).
“We have always held her in high regard and she was on notice that if she ran well, she would make the trip to Queensland for the Oaks early next month,” Englebrecht said.
“The further she goes the better she will be. She is a nice filly.”
The Queensland Oaks will be run at Doomben on May 26.
Saturday's triumph was the filly’s second consecutive victory after she won well at Newcastle on March 31.
Jockey Deanne Panya elected to sit in the back half of the field during the run.
She found a cart into the race on the turn and peeled widest in the straight.
Tinkermosa hit the front in the final 100m, but when Highway went through her gears she was quick to make up ground.
Godolphin's Ellenroh surged late to finish third, but couldn't muster the same turn of foot as the winner.
“She settled in the run and when she let down, she let down really good,” Englebrecht said.
“Last preparation was her first real preparation and she was like a dumb kid. Her legs were going everywhere so we taught her to race a bit. By the end of the preparation she had put it all together.
“She has come good now.”
The stable of Luke and Robert Price had a strong day at their home track with Cuban Royale (race one) and Lani Girl (race six) both saluted. Cuban Royale lead all the way under the urging of Scott Pollard in the first before the veteran jockey swept down the outside to salute on Lani Girl.
Kathy O’Hara made a rare trip to Kembla on a Saturday and she cashed in thanks to Warwick Farm trainer Jason Coyle.
O’Hara scored on Doctor Manhattan (race three) and Destiny’s Hero (race four) in successive races to make the trip south worthwhile.
Racing returns to Kembla Grange on April 26.
