Justin Filipetti, AKA Justin Cameron, has posted four videos since June 19 – five days after the doorway to a Myuna Way, Mangerton unit was doused in accelerent and set alight.
In the most recent video, posted Friday, Filipetti denies any wrongdoing but says he will not hand himself in and it will take the tactical response group (TRG) to bring him into custody.
“I’m kicking back. About to have some dinner, some bongs,” he goads.
“You won’t find me, Superintendent. Good luck with it. I’m not f-cking hiding cos I haven’t done nothing f-cking wrong. I’m walking the streets with my head held high.
“If you think you can find me or you think you know where I am – come. I’m daring you, come. It won’t end well, so you better call TRG … Come and f-cking find me … but I’m telling you, I’m like the wind. You know I’m there but you can’t catch me.”
On June 22 police publicly declared 27-year-old Filipetti a wanted man and warned he has an extensive criminal history.
The Mercury understands he is wanted on two warrants.
Elsewhere in the videos Filipetti reveals he recently spend five years in prison for “stabbing a dog” and boasts he has gone to the pub “for a gamble” and even accompanied a friend to a police station while a wanted man.
“I was at the police station today less than 50 metres from the front door taking my mate to a report and you still can’t find me – and I’m coming to you,” he says.
Police have called on anyone with information that could lead to Filipetti’s whereabouts to contact Wollongong station on 4226 7899 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, where information can be supplied anonymously.
