The indie folk musician has proved popular with the region and will now cater to all ages and be held inside the Yours and Owls Big Top, though still on the same day.
Uni Hall has a capacity of 1700 music lovers, though moving it to the Big Top mean a total of 3000 people can dance the night away.
Yours and Owls co-founder Ben Tillman said it’s a positive step for the live entertainment scene in the Illawarra, while more all ages shows help develop an interest in young people.
“We’re doing it because we want to be encouraging that, we’re trying to grow that, we’re trying to provide things to everybody,” Mr Tillman said.
Rudd is touring the country in support of his Australian ARIA Australian Album number 1 Storm Boy. It’s his ninth studio album and follows on from his previous release the ARIA number 2 and Gold Certified album Spirit Bird.
Other shows in the Big Top series include The Wombats (Splendour in the Grass Sideshow) on Wednesday July 25; and Sheppard on Saturday August 11.
