A man has been charged and a police officer injured following a melee at Warilla on Tuesday night.

The 50-year-old man allegedly set fire to two vehicles on Benuad Crescent about 7.20pm.
Inspector Paul Allman, from Lake Illawarra police, said the fires were started using an unknown accelerant.
The man was arrested following a scuffle with police. One officer sustained a minor injury to his right hand during the arrest.
No one else was injured during the incident.
The man was charged with malicious damage by fire.
He has been granted bail and will appear in Wollongong Local Court at a later date.
A detective-led investigation is under way.
