The next stage is targeting those muscles to increase the amount of lean muscle mass we have on our frame. This occurs by doing resistance training. Whether you are using weight-based machines, free weights or body weight our muscles will develop once we place them under tension and varied levels of stress.
Once we start to increase the amount of lean muscle mass on our frames you will also start to see your metabolic rate increase, as your body needs more fuel to exist due to the increase in muscle mass. We will also see changes like an increase in our strength and power to weight ratio.
