Randahl’s victory also secured him the overall Australian Circuit Championship, the second of his career.
A modified version of surfing, waveski surfing involves competitors catching waves while seated on a board, with paddle in hand.
A veteran of the sport, Randahl entered the season determined to win the championship and he’s ecstatic the hard work paid off.
“Before the season started I set my mind to it, trained and surfed consistently and the results showed from the first event in Wollongong, which I won,” Randahl said.
“I’ve come second overall a few times, so it was nice to get the win.
“I set some goals earlier in the year, to know I was almost there going into the event, I’m really exhilarated that it’s come off the way I hoped.”
