Acting on information from the public, officers from Monaro Police District, with assistance from Southern Region Region Enforcement Squad attended Tin Mine Huts in the Kosciusko National Park around 5pm on Wednesday.
A 46-year-old man, wanted by Victoria Police, was arrested without incident and was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station where he is expected to be charged with an outstanding warrant.
It is expected that detectives from Victoria Police will seek the man’s extradition at Cooma Local Court today.
Police thanked NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and the community for their assistance.
