The 133rd Taralga Show will take place on the weekend of March 9 and 10, and acclaimed author and radio presenter Richard Glover will be hosting the grand opening.
Taralga is in the northern end of the Upper Lachlan Shire, about 35 minutes north of Goulburn, and those who have experienced this event before will find the 2019 layout and program reassuringly familiar.
The pavilion will once again showcase arts and crafts, cookery, flowers, fancywork, farm and garden produce, fruit, jams and preserves, photography, poetry and wool.
Entries for all of these categories will be taken on Thursday March 7 from 3pm to 6.30pm, and on Friday March 8 from 8am until noon.

Out on the grounds, the team sorting and horse class events will take place over both days, with organisers informing us the team sorting is so popular with competitors that entries are already full.
On Saturday there will be meat sheep, poultry, commercial and prime cattle judging.
There will also be home brew judging taking place at the home brew stall where you can also purchase a ticket in the 'guess the weight of the beast' competition.
Over at the sheep yards the ever-popular sheep counting competition will be on again for young and old, with categories for juniors, female and male competitors.
The official opening will take place at around 1.30pm which will lead into an action-packed afternoon with the quick shear moving back into its original Saturday afternoon spot at 2pm. This, combined with the crowd-attracting dog high jump, will see the ground numbers swell out the front of the publican’s booth.
Fui’s disco will be providing the beats for the quick shear and continue to play into the evening. Their raffle will also be drawn at 7.30pm on Saturday night with another assortment of excellent prizes on offer this year and the added bonus of $100 cash for the first prize winner, if you are present when the raffle is drawn.
Sunday will see stud cattle and merino sheep judging as well as show jumping, horse sporting events, the poetry competition presentation and grand parade take place.
Amongst all the fanfare will be the familiar sideshows as well as stalls, the publican’s booth, barbecue shed, plus the Country Women's Association selling slices and tea and coffee.
"Special thanks are given to all our sponsors who make this show possible," the event's organisers said.
