Police said emergency services were called to a home at Surfside, just north of Batemans Bay, after reports of a stabbing just before 11.50pm.
"Officers from South Coast Police District attended and located a 29-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his torso," they said.
"He was unable to be revived and died at the scene."
Two men - aged 18 and 48 - were arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, where they were assisting police with their inquiries.
Police said they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's death and it was believed those involved knew each other.
Meantime, police are also investigating a Saturday night home invasion at Batemans Bay.
At 7.45pm two men were inside a Golf Links Drive home when they heard a knock on the door.
Four men forced their way into the home, assaulting the occupants and demanding money.
They stole the men's wallets, a mobile phone and sunglasses before running from the house.
The two victims were treated at the scene before being taken to Batemans Bay Hospital.
They ask anyone with information about this incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
