Plans for musician Pink to add Wollongong to the list of dates for her Funhouse Tour of Australia next year have been dashed as WIN Entertainment Centre proved too small a venue for the Grammy award-winning singer. Music industry sources told the Mercury yesterday that Pink required stadia that could accommodate at least 7000 people, while Wollongong's major concert venue has capacity for only 5800 fans.Illawarra audiences will have to console themselves with this week's announcement that Brian McFadden will join his fiancee, Delta Goodrem, on her Believe Again Tour, which comes to Wollongong next month.McFadden will be the special guest during Goodrem's performance at WIN Entertainment Centre on January 22. It is her first national tour in more than three years.McFadden even hinted that the pair may team up for a duet on the night."You'll have to wait and see," he said."I'm very much looking forward to the tour with Delta."Performing is what we love to do and being on the road and touring together makes it even more special."Meanwhile, Australian Idol runner-up Jessica Mauboy will launch her debut album, Been Waiting, in Crown St Mall today. The 19-year-old Darwin performer has been compared to Grammy award-winning artist Rihanna and R&B queen Beyonce. Mauboy will sign copies of her new album at Sanity Records between 4pm and 5pm.
