Perez has been in outstanding doubles form in Europe, including winning the title in Strasbourg, France with Daria Gavrilova in May and finishing runner-up twice in England with Arina Rodionova.
Ranked 74 in the world in doubles, the rising left-hander will play alongside Monique Adamczak at Wimbledon.
However, the 23-year-old's singles hopes were dashed in the first round of qualifying, when beaten by Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina 6-1, 6-4.
Rybakina is ranked 111 in the world, with Perez at 196.
Perez has had a taste of Grand Slam events, having made the first round at the US Open in 2016 and Australian Open last year.
She is also a viewed as a potential star for Australia by Fed Cup captain Alicia Molik declared Perez could follow in the footsteps of newly-crowned French Open champion Ash Barty.
"Success like Ash's and like Australians before her can help bolster the belief of someone like Ellen," Molik said earlier this month.
"She's got the game, great attributes to become a brilliant player, it's a matter of condensing them, bringing them closer together over a sustained period.
"Having success around you and when you have that belief that you believe you can be among the top players, such as Ash, Ellen sits alongside her in so many ways, there's no reason why she can't have similar success in the future."
