The first medispa located inside a private hospital in Australia officially opened on Saturday on Level 7 of Wollongong Private Hospital.

Dr Niro Sivathasan said Ignite Medispa is aiming to provide a high level of patient care in a multidisciplinary facility providing beauty treatments, body sculpting and wellness, cosmetic medicine treatments, surgery and dentistry.
The business had a soft opening last week before an official opening was held on Saturday night.
Dr Sivathasan is being joined by two more doctors. A dentist is already practicing in a modern new state-of-the-art facility and a second dentist will arrive soon.
Taking the Illawarra Mercury on a tour of the new facility Adam Meoli said Ignite Medispa had several sections.
There is a medical side that has cosmetic injectables, laser therapies and cosmetic consultations for surgery.
There is a wellness spa with a massage therapy room, skin care and dermotherapy room and a wellness room for intravenous vitamin therapies.
The dental area has a surgery with the latest equipment and dental imaging in-house.
Dr Sivathasan said Ignite Medispa will soon have a team of 13. "What we stand for is excellence and integrity. Everything has been done to the best possible standard. I have cherry picked all of my staff".
