As a Club that was established by the community, for the community, The Shellharbour Club is committed to supporting their community in as many ways as they can.
Each year The Shellharbour Club provides assistance to numerous local sporting bodies and charitable organisations through the ClubGRANTS scheme.
In fact, over the last five years, they have contributed more than $2 million to the community in this way.
The ClubGRANTS scheme is a ClubsNSW initiative designed to allow registered clubs in NSW to contribute to the provision of front-line services to their local communities and provide much-needed support to community groups. The Club endeavours to foster solid partnerships with local community groups ensuring a strong and lively locality.
This year alone, The Shellharbour Club has supported more than 30 local not-for-profit organisations through the ClubGRANTS scheme by providing grants for community projects and in-kind donations.

The Shellharbour Club has been a continued supporter of The DENNY Foundation's Boost 4 Families food project. Boost 4 Families supports families in need through the provision of quality food parcels.
The program not only assists local families who are experiencing financial hardship by providing access to healthy and nutritious foods, it also supports local primary schools by providing breakfast and lunch for marginalised students.
Over the years, The Shellharbour Club has helped the volunteer organisation expand their program by funding equipment such as cool rooms, freezers and a new truck to help transport the produce recovered.
"The Denny Foundation is a volunteer organisation and The Shellharbour Club's continued support is immeasurable. Thanks to The Shellharbour Club, we've been able to help thousands of families in our local area through the tough times and we are so very grateful for not only their ongoing support but all the ways they help the local community each and every day," CEO and founder of The Denny Foundation, Margaret Purcell said.
The financial assistance provided to community groups is aligned with the Club's vision "To enable the community to reach its highest potential".
The ClubGRANTS scheme is a large part of that vision. By assisting community groups, they allow the Shellharbour community to grow and flourish.
Decisions for donations are made at a local level and are guided by the priorities of the Shellharbour community. Applications for Category 1 and Category 2 donations open in March each year. For more information on how to apply, go to shellys.com.au.
