There are a number of things you can do to make yourself faster in your chosen sport. These include:
Performing Plyometrics (which includes powerful jumping and bounding).
Performing light weights with fast repetitions (such as jump squats and power cleans).
Practise running fast over varying distances of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 60 metres.
Work on agility-based drills such as changing direction and position at speed.
Use sprinting sleds or harnesses to promote slight overload in major leg muscle groups to build more power and essentially speed.
