Principal Ronda Moon said, "We offer a balanced and inclusive curriculum, with opportunities for students in a range of academic, arts, environmental, technology and sporting programs."
The school opened its doors 67 years ago on Friday, September 12, 1952 with 138 children enrolled on the first day of operation.
There were four staff members including Mr Arthur Buttfield the founding principal, Mrs Perry, Mrs Rawson and Miss Poland.
On the next day, Saturday, September 13, 1952, the first working bee was held to clear lantana and blackberry bushes from the new school site.

The school was officially opened by The Honourable R.J. Heffron, M.L.A. (member of the legislative assembly) on October 17, 1953.
Today Mount St Thomas Public School has an enrolment of 342 students from kindergarten to year 6 in 14 classes. There are 25 staff that includes teachers as well as executive, administrative and support staff.
In 2019, students participated at Southern Stars in dance, drama and choir, with the largest student representation from all primary schools involved.
Mount St Thomas Public School achieved Honours for two consecutive years in the Tournament of Minds competition, where teams of students have the opportunity to solve authentic, open-ended challenges that foster creative, divergent thinking while developing collaborative enterprise, excellence and teamwork.
At the 2019 NSW Resilient Australia Awards, Mount St Thomas Public School was recognised as Highly Commended for their project on storm and flood risk which used robotics to create solutions to flood related problems.
The school is home to the national and international award winning Project Bucephalus, that work year round teaching coding and robotics, preparing students from seven years and over for competitions like the First Lego League and the First Robotics Competition.
"We boast a dedicated and committed gardening group, who work alongside our students and staff in a number of environmental initiatives as well as hosting our ever-growing community kitchen garden session on the first Saturday of the month," Ronda said.
"We have strong links with our Mount St Thomas community and we continue to work together, shoulder to shoulder, to ensure that every student is known, valued and cared for."
