But the Figtree teenager has had little time to celebrate achieving one of her lifelong dreams.
The 18-year-old has been busy raising funds for Variety - The Children's Charity.
The Figtree High School student has also been hitting the books in preparation for the HSC exams, which start on October 17.
But she has also worked hard to raise funds for the "amazing charity" and in the process fulfill one of the competition's criteria.
"This cause means a lot to me as I believe that all kids deserve to have a fair go and they need to join in life with everyone else. I am really excited about making a difference to Aussie kids in need," she said.
Alexia is one of 50 young women taking part in the beauty pageant that selects Australia's representative to the Miss World pageant.
The current Miss World Australia is Sarah Marschke from Sydney, who will compete at the Miss World 2019.
Alexia hopes to follow suit one day but her immediate goal is to raise $10,000 for Variety.
"Variety - The Children's Charity is a national non-profit organisation committed to empowering Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs to have a fair go," she said.
I want to be able to inspire people and to promote products and run my own business.
- Alexia Alana Zouroudis
"I would love if you could help me achieve my goal which is $10,000, by donating as much as you can. All my donations are tax deductible and help a variety of children."
Alexia said ever since she was a little girl she dreamed of becoming a model and helping people in some way.
"I want to be able to inspire people and to promote products and run my own business," she said.
"I want to follow the lead of my mum who does network marketing and inspires people to get fit and healthy.
"I want to do other stuff and while modelling is important, I'm also hoping to study communications and media at the University of Wollongong."
The aspiring model was encouraged to apply for Miss World Australia after applying for Australia's Next Top Model.
"I applied for Australia's Next Top Model but they were already at the final stage so encouraged me to apply for Miss World Australia. I'm so glad it worked out this way."
