A driver has taken out a traffic light after crashing into it in Wollongong on Tuesday evening.

The woman was driving down Corrimal Street when she mounted the curb and knocked over the traffic light at the corner of Gipps Street.
Police, Ambulance and Roads and Maritime Services arrived on scene around 5.15pm.
The driver was not injured.
One lane of Corrimal Street was closed for a short period while the debris was cleaned up and the car towed away.
The scene was rendered safe after 6pm.
