A first half goal by Emily Gielnik proved the difference as Australia wrapped up the two-match series in front of more than 10,000 supporters at Adelaide's Coopers Stadium.
Matildas captain Sam Kerr, Steph Catley, Ellie Carpenter and Gielnik were outstanding while Shellharbour product Foord was a constant threat in attack. Foord had three shots, two on goal, and set up her team mates into dangerous attacking positions.
The home side led 1-0 at half time and came out firing after the break, with Foord in the middle of the action.
A wonderful pass by Catley set up Kerr, whose attempt hit the cross bar and ricocheted towards Gielnik. Her next attempt was stopped by Chile goalkeeper Natalia Campos, who managed to grab the middle in front of a flying Foord.
Foord appeared to be dragged down in the box after 49 minutes, but the referee called play on. The 24-year-old had another chance to score soon, however Campos safely grabbed the long-range attempt.
Chile's best chance to score came in the 76th minute. A long range attempt hit defender Kerr, with the ball looping towards the goal. Aussie goalkeeper Lydia Williams managed to tap the ball over the cross bar.
The Matildas continued to press hard in attack for the remainder of the game, but were unable to score a second goal. A beautiful cross by Foord in the 93rd minute flashed past the head of Kerr.
After the game, Kerr told Fox Sports that it was nice to play in Adelaide and the Matildas received great support around the country.
"It was an important win for us and a good starting point," she said.
"Being the first camp back, there were a few cobwebs... but we're happy with the two wins."
Earlier, Foord was also impressive in the first half as the Australia dominated possession and field territory.
There was no early goal for the Matildas - unlike in game one on Saturday - but the home side looked in good touch during the opening 20 minutes.
The Matildas finally hit the scoreboard in the 24th minute following a wonderful assist by Sam Kerr, who found a fast-running Emily Gielnik and she nudged the ball past goalkeeper Natalie Campos.
Foord's first half was highlights by nearly setting up Australia's second goal in the 45th minute.
A wonderful turn and pass set up Kerr in the box. Her first attempt was blocked, but she was then taken down by Campos. Kerr's penalty was then blocked by the goalkeeper.
Other standout moments for Foord included showing a great show of strength to beat her opponent and pass the ball to Amy Harrison to shoot for goal.
Foord nearly had own chance to score in the 41st minute. A Carpenter cross deflected off a Chile opponent and the ball flashed past Foord, who couldn't connect.
The result caps a 2-0 series win for Australia. Foord helped the Matildas take a 2-1 win at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday. She found space in the 70th minute, kicked a beautifully weighted pass to Kerr who found the back of the net.
