Emergency services were called to Harbour Street after reports of a brawl and possible glassing about 9.20pm.
Wollongong police found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to his abdomen. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Wollongong Hospital.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene; however, he has also been taken to Wollongong Hospital where he's undergoing treatment for an injury to his hand.
A crime scene has been established and inquiries are continuing.
