As part of the project, Transport for NSW has installed a set of traffic lights along the highway at Woollybutt Drive, between the Tongarra Road intersection and the Oak Flats interchange.
The lights, which became operational on January 30, mean motorists will now pass through seven sets of traffic lights between Albion Park Rail and Oak Flats.

"These lights make it safer for residents wanting to enter and exit the Princes Highway but also hands back local roads to local communities," a Transport for NSW spokesperson said.
As part of the bypass project, Woollybutt Drive and Durgadin Drive will become cul-de-sacs with access via the East West Link removed.
The bypass is due to be opened in 2022.
