Kiama MP Gareth Ward was twice escorted home by police this week after being found sleepwalking around a Potts Point apartment complex.

Mr Ward said it was a side effect from undergoing surgery this week.
On Wednesday at 11.30pm, police were called to the complex, where Mr Ward lives when parliament is sitting, following reports of a naked man walking in the halls.
When they arrived they found Mr Ward standing in the doorway of a unit.
When they discovered it was his residence, police escorted him inside.
Police said Mr Ward appeared disorientated however, he declined to be taken to hospital.

An hour later police returned to the complex after calls a man was walking around the common areas in his underpants.
Police escorted him to his unit, where Mr Ward again declined medical assistance.
Later that day police returned to check on Mr Ward's welfare and advised him to discuss the night's events with his doctor.
Mr Ward released a statement on Thursday afternoon stating it was related to a medical issue.
"On Tuesday I was admitted to hospital for the second time in a week, and as a result, yesterday I was placed under general anaesthetic for a procedure," Mr ward said.
"Last night I became disorientated while at home. I would like to thank emergency services for returning me to my residence safely."
