The Waterfront is a joint development between Frasers Property Australia and Shellharbour City Council.
Frasers has announced a five per cent deposit offer on a limited number of lots and a handful of brand-new homes now under construction near the harbour's edge.
According to Frasers, these homes and land lots are a last-chance opportunity to either move in or start building by spring, and be part of the new masterplanned community when the marina opens next year.
Simone Dyer, development director Shell Cove, Frasers Property Australia said the deposit initiative hadn't been created to entice buyers amid the pandemic.
"The five per cent deposit incentive is something that we do across our business every now and again, and it was already in motion well before COVID-19," she said.
However, Ms Dyer said they had now moved to a virtual sales office, and a by appointment only sales floor.
"It's changed the way we're able to interact with our customers," she said.
"However, we've got a new display home, which is also by appointment, and we're seeing lots more traffic on our website. We're getting good inquiry, and in the past couple of weeks we've actually made a few sales.
"Consumer sentiment broadly has been rattled by coronavirus, and we've had to adapt how we operate. But we've seen good take-up with how we're communicating with our customers.
"What we're selling hasn't changed, so people are still feeling confident to purchase from us."
The offer applies only to nine brand-new homes already under construction and select land lots settling prior to September 30, 2020.
The land lots are located 600m from the beach and 200m from the boat harbour.
These 40-metre deep oversized lots range in size from 440sqm to 742.5sqm, and are priced from $600,000 to $820,000.
For those who want to capitalise on the five per cent deposit offer but prefer moving into a brand-new home, a handful of four and five-bedroom homes are available, with prices ranging from $1,050,000 to $1,275,000.
These homes are already under construction, to be completed in spring.
People can register their interest in these land lots and new homes, and need a five per cent deposit.
"We expect price growth to continue as the project edges closer to completion, with The Waterfront tavern, dining precinct, and marina all opening next year," Ms Dyer said.
