Mark and Kerry Bright nominated the new date for the annual air show in March when they realised they would need to postpone the event scheduled for May.
Mrs Bright confirmed on Thursday that organisation is now at full speed for Wings Over Illawarra that attracts tens of thousands of people to the region every year.
The Brights are confident they can secure some of the major drawcards people want to see. The day before they had to postpone Wings Over Illawarra from May they received confirmation from the RAAF that five Hornets would be coming for the weekend.
"We are hopeful that is still the case," Mrs Bright said.
"The very first thing we did was speak to the RAAF. We wanted to know whether we needed to put new applications in and the indication from Canberra is that we don't".
Mrs Bright said all the privately owned aircraft that were coming in May are still confirmed to attend Wings Over Illawarra in early November.
"We are getting a Sabre and we are getting Matt Hall and Paul Bennett with their aircraft. And we are likely to have the Focke Wulf which is something I know people are really looking forward to," she said.
"The air show is definitely going ahead on November 7 and 8 and we are having a STEM day on the 6th with the schools. Planning is going ahead very nicely and we have updated our website. Even though we are all working from home we are working hard".
Mrs Bright said there was another advantage in staging the event near the end of Spring.
"In November we will be able to have a much bigger focus on general aviation because it doesn't get dark before 7pm," she said.
"It will be a much more spectacular event for them to come to because they will have no worried about getting home before last light.
"We will also have camping available for them on the other side of the airport.
