Rosebank Farm is located at 114 Riversdale Road, Kiama.
Its sale price of $4,025,000 was well above the price guide of $3.2 million to $3.5 million.
The 57-acre rural holding and former dairy farm turned beef cattle farm offers ocean and rural views.
It was recently sold to a Sydney buyer.
The property has a history as a productive dairy farm dating back to the 1800's, and currently has the capability for about 30 head of beef cattle on-site.
Neil McLaren and wife Maree had owned the property for 24 years, and sold in order to retire from farming life and downsize.
"I think everyone gets to that point where as much as they love the farm, you're not 35 any more," Mr McLaren laughed.
Mr McLaren said it was an "absolutely gorgeous place to be", and offered impressive views.
"On New Year's Eve, you can just stand there and watch fireworks happening all around you from Jamberoo to Wollongong to Kiama," he said.
"It's a gorgeous spot with a lot of privacy... Having a fantastic view and being totally private is pretty amazing."
The property includes a three-bedroom home with study, large kitchen, and two living areas that lead onto an outdoor entertaining patio with north-east views over the ocean.
A separate granny flat provides flexible living arrangements.
Agricultural features include a four-bay shed, cattle yards and race, laneway system enabling easy access to five fully fenced and electrified paddocks, and a large dam with pump reticulated to all paddocks.
The selling agents were First National Coast & Country's Terry Digger and David Hall.
Mr Digger said there had been plenty of interest in the property from Sydney-siders.
"There's a lot of people looking for lifestyle properties, and some people looking to move to get out of town - I think COVID has prompted some of that as well," he said.
"It's a great lifestyle property with beautiful ocean views."
