The body of a man who was reported missing from Lake Illawarra on Friday has been found by police.

The 50-year-old man was reported missing to officers from Lake Illawarra Police District, when he failed to return to his home on Rhondda Street, Berkeley.
An investigation commenced and following inquiries, a body was found in bushland at Northcliffe drive, Berkeley on Saturday afternoon.
The body has been formally identified as that of the missing man and initial inquiries suggest his death is not suspicious.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
