Port Kembla's Samuel Lowe remains in the hunt to become a state surfing champion.
Lowe was among the standout under-14 boys performers in round three at the NSW Grommet State Title on Saturday at Maroubra Beach. The goofy footy mustered an exciting variety of turns on his way to receiving a two-wave heat total of 15.74, which included an excellent 8.67 score.
Other round three winners in that category included Barrack Point surfers Josh Marsh and Kash Smith. The trio will move into the next round on Sunday.
