After claiming last year's Sydney Division One premiership, club president Casey Moane told the Mercury last month that the Saints could raise the bar of the Women's Premier Division.
And the Saints have delivered so far, remaining unbeaten after five rounds.
Coach Anthony O'Donoghue said his team "was going really well".
"They've put a lot of effort in, it's been a terribly long season [due to COVID-19]," O'Donoghue said.
"I've been impressed with the way they've combined together, they've followed up from where they finished off last year. They're playing the same brand of footy, a really good brand of footy. It's really enjoyable to watch them."
The Saints continued their winning streak with a 7.13 (55) to 1.0 (6) win over Bomaderry last Saturday in horrendous conditions at Nowra Showground.
Despite the difficult circumstances, O'Donoghue saw plenty of positives emerge from the clash.
"I don't like wet weather footy too much," he said.
"But the girls kicked seven goals and did really well."
Next up for the Saints are defending Women's Premier Division champions Wollongong Bulldogs, who have clinched one win this season
"Our Division One team played them a couple of weeks ago and it was a tough game [Saints won by 35 points]," O'Donoghue said.
"This is the first we'll play them in Premier Division and we expect a tough one, we'll just see how we go."
