There is a cliffside vantage point that people use to take photos of themselves with the bridge - despite several deaths at the site.
One way to the site is via the rail corridor, which is not only illegal but forces trains to slow down whenever people are spotted.
To reduce access to the corridor, Sydney Trains is extending the fencing at Clifton.
"The fence will be located around the perimeter of the active rail corridor in the area between Clifton School Parade and the southern portal of the Coalcliff tunnel and is scheduled for completion by the end of September 2020," a Sydney Trains spokeswoman said.
"Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink cannot stress enough that trespassing in the rail corridor is not only illegal; it's also extremely dangerous behaviour."
In September 2018 a Sydney man fell to his death while standing on the cliff overlooking the bridge.
Unbelievably, just a day later, people were spotted taking selfies from the same area where he fell.
In May 2020, emergency services spent almost three hours rescuing a teen after she dislocated her ankle while climbing to the illegal lookout.
