The side will travel north to take on a young Sydney FC squad that is desperate to keep their finals hopes alive.
A week after holding off an enthusiastic Western Sydney Wanderers, the Wolves know what to expect from their rivals.
With his side inconsistent at times this season, Wilkshire's focus is on ensuring Wollongong are switched on for the full 90 minutes.
"There's still always improvement," Wilkshire said. "It's fair to say we haven't had 90 minutes at our absolute best where we're all firing.
"I'm looking forward to this weekend and hopeful it will be the one we are firing on all cylinders across the board. I know what these boys are capable of, it's a level no team in NPL1 can handle."
This weekend will play a major role in determining the makeup of the top four, with six teams in the running.
The Wolves currently sit second on 18 points, two back from Rockdale and level with third-placed Sydney United 58. Those two sides will face off on Sunday.
While he knows that match will play a crucial role in determining Wollongong's premiership hopes, Wilkshire is completely focused on his team's performance.
"We've made it very clear all we can do is control the controllables.
"We're going game by game, this week it's Sydney FC. We'll go up there and get the three points. That's all we can do, the rest is out of our hands, there's no point worrying about it."
