Albion Park and Tarrawanna both had slow starts to 2020, but may be two of the Illawarra Premier League's most in-form teams late in the season. The White Eagles haven't lost a game since August 16 - their results including draws with top three sides Woonona, United and Bulli in that period - while the Blueys have won four from their past five games.
However, only one will keep their campaign alive after they meet in Sunday's elimination final.
The last time these sides met, the White Eagles prevailed 5-4 in a high-scoring thriller. But Park coach Goran Trajceski expects it will be different this time around, with goals to be a premium.
"I think it will be a low-scoring game and it will come down to who wants it more. It's a must win, so it's all systems go this weekend," he said.
"There's been a very good vibe at training. The boys are pumped. [But] the Blueys are always strong, they're well coached by Peter Willis. They're structured and they'll go for 90 minutes. They'll be in the game, so we've got to be switched on and play the way we want to play. If we can do that, I'm very confident."
The Blueys have suffered a blow in the lead-up to Sunday's game, with captain Mitch Ferraro ruled out due to injury. However, Ferraro is confident his team can get the job done in his absence.
"The boys will be pumped coming off a big win last week [2-1 versus Olympic]," he said.
"Albion Park are a pretty good team. They can score goals, so we've got to be good defensively and hopefully come out with the win.
"We've played as one big team [this year], and we've been developing and gaining confidence within the team. That's the best thing that keeps happening for us. We just keep staying positive. The more things we stay positive, the more things happen for us."
