The 23-year-old was impressive across the two-day competition, upsetting top-seed Squiers in Sunday's second round.
Ball was at his best on Monday, claiming the final with a two-wave score of 18.04. The Stanwell Park athlete overtook runner-up Dylan Moffat with an 8.87 wave late in the contest.
"This is the first event I've done this year so to get the win feels awesome," Ball said. "I think the win ahead of Nic yesterday helped give me the confidence to keep getting through heats.
"That final came right down to the wire but I knew I had to get those rare waves that would dish up two steep sections. I'm stoked I found them."
The Cronulla event was the first NSW leg of the Australian Open of Surfing series. The third round will be held in Kiama on November 22 and 23.
