There were significant traffic delays on the M1 Princes Motorway after a truck reportedly lost its brakes and collided with at least one car before coming to a stop on the sand trap at Mount Ousley Road.

Emergency services were called to Mount Ousley Road after reports a car carrier truck crashed into cars, left the road and stopped on the safety ramp about 11.20am on Sunday.
The truck seriously damaged a grey Nissan Qashqai when it hit the rear passenger side, however the female driver, who was alone in her car, was not hurt.
No one was seriously injured however one person has been transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The truck came to a stop deep into the bushland beyond the sand of the arrester bed.
A Fire and Rescue spokesman said the truck's brakes caught fire, which crews quickly extinguished upon arrival.
All southbound lanes of the motorway remained open however traffic was very heavy as the clean up continued.
Motorists were advised to reduce their speed, exercise caution and expect delays.
Motorists reported traffic backed up along the motorway to Waterfall.
Emergency crews remained on scene for several hours while the debris was cleared and the truck and damaged car were towed away.
Traffic returned to normal about 1pm.
