Five shuttles a day will start and end at Wollongong Train Station on June 12 and 13.
Passengers can travel behind the one-time NSW Government Railways locomotive as the powerful engine races past the northern suburbs, before climbing through the twists and turns to Scarborough.
On Monday, June 14, another four steam trains will run from Kiama to Berry and back.
"This is second year of Wollongong steam shuttles, with over 2800 adults and kids enjoyed a steam train ride to Scarborough and return in 2019," organiser David Bottin said.
"Kiama has been an amazing destination for the Kiama Picnic Train over many years, so it's great that we can offer steam train rides to Berry and return for the locals to enjoy."
The shuttles are just over one-hour return to Scarborough and Berry.
