At Unanderra, a click reveals the community centre roof is getting some attention next year, while in the north Tarrawanna Road is in line for safety improvements in the 2022-23 financial year.
These and hundreds of other projects that form council's $830 million capital works program for the next four years have now been mapped out - literally.
.. this mapping tool allows you to move about virtually and dig down into the detail.
- Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery.
For the first time, council has released an interactive online map marking every project in the draft infrastructure delivery program so residents can see exactly what is planned for their neighbourhood.
Other works listed on the map include the upgrade of North Wollongong Surf Club, work on the West Dapto Access Plan, the Cringila Hills mountain biking trails and further development of the Whytes Gully landfill site.
"What I like about this mapping tool is that it allows you to move about virtually and dig down into the detail," Wollongong Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery said.
"It's a great way to learn more about what council is proposing to improve in your street and suburb.
"There is everything from playground reconstructions to sportsfield lighting projects and works planned for community buildings.''
The map is part of the council's community engagement while the 2018-2022 delivery program is on public exhibition.
"We have been through a rigorous planning process to prioritise our community's needs for the years ahead and that is shown through these plans," Cr Bradbery said.
"They set out how we're investing in community facilities, events and other programming as well as how we will maintain our essential assets like roads, pathways and rock pools.
"These are documents prepared on behalf of our community and that's why we want to hear from our residents about what's within them.
"I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to have a read and to make a submission that will be acknowledged.
"These documents are our guide to our collective goal of a better city for everyone.''
