The annual Vivid Sydney festival has been rescheduled to flick the switch from September 17 to October 9, hopefully long past the current lockdown restrictions.
Wollongong music men Yours and Owls had been enlisted to work on the "Princes Highway" collaboration for the festival which would see a number of local bands, or artists with Illawarra ties, perform in one concert.
Full details of the revised Vivid Sydney 2021 program will be available online in the coming weeks as venues and event owners finalise logistics. Ticketholders will be able to transfer their tickets to the new event date or request a refund via the relevant ticket agent.
Vivid Sydney will transform Sydney's CBD into a playground of the unexpected for 23 nights. The festival is owned, managed and produced by the NSW government through Destination NSW, and in 2019 delivered $172 million in expenditure to the NSW visitor economy.
