The Seven show kicks off at 7pm with judges Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy in the hot seat looking for "the voice".
It will be Jessica Mauboy's The Voice coaching debut - but she's no stranger to reality TV, having been runner-up to Damien Leith on Australia Idol in 2006.
Since then, she has gone on to become an acclaimed actress appearing in films Bran Nu Dae (2010), and The Sapphires (2012), as well as the lead role in The Secret Daughter (2016-2017) drama series.
Mauboy was also Australia's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014, and has released four solo albums, and has multiple acting and music awards.
Now as a coach on The Voice, she hopes to "share my experiences and learnings with them so they can feel more confident and empowered to create their own unique pathway to follow their dreams".
So who might she be turning her chair for this year?
Here's just some of the candidates giving it their best:
Halimah Kyrgios
First up a name you might recognise - Kyrgios.
It might be synonymous with tennis, but it may not be that long before it's also associated with singing.
Halimah Kyrgios, is the older sister of tennis player Nick Kyrgios, and is set to hit the stage in the latest season of The Voice.
The 31-year-old - who has spent recent years performing in musical theatre internationally - was enjoying some family time in Canberra when the opportunity to audition for the Channel Seven reality show came up.
Drew Walker
From northern Victoria is Drew Walker.
After singing in her home town of Echuca since she was eight-years-old, Ms Walker, 23, has made the decision to try her luck on the show after considering it for many years.
Ms Walker said her family had seen her talent from a young age.
"My mum said I could always sing and I loved theatre, so she encouraged me to join the Echuca Theatre Company and a few other companies in town," she said.
Heading to Melbourne with her parents Michelle and John and partner Dale, Ms Walker said it was an "overwhelming but amazing experience".
Lauren 'Lau' Abend
For 21-year-old Mudgee local Lauren 'Lau' Abend, the dream of performing in internationally acclaimed musicians has become reality.
"It was pretty surreal to find out I would get to audition and I'm very grateful," Ms Abend, from NSW's Central West, said.
"There are so many amazing singers who apply, so for me to even get through to a blind audition was so exciting.
"It's pretty insane walking on stage and seeing the backs of those four chairs, but knowing who is sitting in those chairs is even scarier.
"In that moment before walking out, you're completely alone with your thoughts and you realise no one else can do this for you."
