In a post on social media, the school said the closure would allow for contact tracing and deep cleaning.
No students are to attend the school.
It is understood NSW Health will be in touch with anyone identified as a close or casual contact and provide advice.
The school said families would be told of the reopening date as soon as it was confirmed.
Students with even the mildest of symptoms are asked to get tested.
Meanwhile, a person who went to Thirroul Surf Life Saving Club's Halloween haunted house has also tested positive for COVID-19.
The person attended the party between 4.15pm and 7pm on Sunday, the club said on its Facebook page.
Anyone who was at the party during this time is a casual contact, and must get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
They must also have a second COVID test six days after their exposure.
Other exposure sites have also been identified in recent days.
Anyone who visited the following locations at the specified times must also get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
