A man escaped a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Florence Street and the Princes Highway in Fairy Meadow this morning with minor injuries, police say.
A NSW police spokesperson said they were called to the location at 8.45am. It was reported a man was trapped in his vehicle following the crash.
The spokesperson said the man has since been released and suffered only minor injuries.
Meantime, a bus broke down on the Princes Highway at the Memorial Drive exit, banking up traffic for hundreds of metres.
Greg Murphy was driving to work and said the traffic was "lousy".
He said traffic was backed up from Wollongong to Fairy Meadow.
"It looked like a school bus or a coach had broken down, right when people are trying to drop kids off and get to work."
