They are among 420 new cases of the virus identified across the state in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Of the 11 new cases in the region, eight are from the Wollongong Local Government Area and four of those are linked to a known case.
The new cases live in the following postcodes: 2500 (4), 2508 (1), 2519 (1) and 2525 (2).
The remaining three new cases in the region are from the Shellharbour LGA, and live in the postcodes 2527 (2) and 2529 (1). One is linked to a known case.
Meantime a Thirroul eatery has advised customers that a person who later tested positive to COVID attended the venue for lunch on Saturday, December 4.
South Sailor management have contacted those with reservations at the time, and are now closed until Saturday.

"Whilst we knew this day was inevitable, the emotions of it have caught us off guard," management wrote in a Facebook post.
"This is our favourite time of the year. Getting to host those all important festive get togethers, and share in the joy of our guests celebrating with friends and family is an absolute highlight.
"So to have to cancel reservations is well, pretty darn crushing especially as we've waited so long to have you all back."
There have now been 2647 cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District since June.
As at 8pm last night, four people were being treated in hospital as a result of the virus.
The LHD is urging the community to maintain vigilance and to continue to come forward for testing and vaccination.
