The first to announce he would pull out of the race was Shoalhaven Heads lawyer Paul Ell.
The 31-year-old had a lot of support in the South Coast branch, but said he chose to step back after winning a seat on the local council.
Vincentia businesswoman and former Shoalhaven councillor Jemma Tribe announced on Christmas Eve she would withdraw her nomination for Gilmore.
It is understood she will nominate for the South Coast seat should Shelley Hancock step down.
Sanctuary Point resident and former staffer to Christopher Pyne, Stephen Hayes, has also withdrawn his nomination.
All three former nominees said they did not feel pressured to withdraw, but instead felt Mr Constance stood the best chance of winning the bell-weather seat back for the Liberal Party, after a disastrous campaign in 2019.
