Organisers have described the "all-star" cast as "the Ferrari of jazz orchestras", put together by the Con's Eric Dunan, and will showcase the talents of musicians who have been part of the facility over the past two decades.
The 18-piece ensemble will feature special guests, alumni, selected music staff as well as their " next generation of jazz students", all of whom are coming together to deliver an unforgettable sonic experience at the Wollongong Town Hall.
They will perform a variety of contemporary and classic big band music, plus original compositions by Australian composers Jeremy Rose (Vampires), Des Cannings and Callum Burns (both WollCon Faculty).
Celebrating Jazz at WollCon, Saturday April 9, Wollongong Town Hall. Show runs from 8pm - 10pm. Tickets range from $15-$30, details at: wollcon.com.au
