But one contestant has held a flame for all the Mr-Nice-Guys in the world, and of course all the men of Wollongong, 26-year-old financial planner Jack who is the Illawarra's latest reality television star.
For nearly 40 episodes we have watched him laugh, cry and hit by drama (he seemed to handle his 'wife's' Only Fans scandal pretty well), but taking the plunge and going on a television program he'd never watched was definitely a ballsy move.
"I think the purpose of the show is for us [the viewers] to all look insanely happy in our own relationships after looking at these lunatics together, but Jack has done men proud with his attitudes," said Mr P, the Mercury's MAFS mega-fan, who wished to remain anonymous due to ridicule.
Tuesday night's episode, the second last for season nine, viewers were told early on to hold on for "the most unmissable final vows ever" - meaning those between Jack and Domenica.
The pair, matched by the MAFS "experts" (John Aiken and Mel Schilling, and clinical sexologist Alessandra Rampolla), have had many turbulent times. The most recent display of emotion at the final dinner party where Jack again became Olivia's "punchline" while it was evident Domenica still had doubts about the longevity of the relationship.
"Last night really took a toll on me," Jack is seen telling Dom.
Considering the night before's dramatic ending (Episode 24) where the other Mr Nice Guy Brent labelled his 'wife' Tamara as rude and selfish (I feel like many of us already had that conclusion) before throwing his cards to the wind, anything could happen between Jack and Dom.
"The moment that broke everyone's heart was at the couples' retreat ... Domenica was bitching to all the girls about the lack of intimacy and basically how Jack's not cutting it, and of course he could overhear the whole conversation," said our mega-fan Mr P.
He also recalled the nude photo scandal of Domenica having an Only Fans account, brought to light by another bride Olivia, although Jack told his fellow cast members he'd known about it for weeks.
Throughout the season, we have grown to love the sandy blonde, slightly balding Jack more and more.
He's the sort of bloke you'd let your daughter date, according to Mr P, he's a guy who's "come from a good family".
We did see some awkward moments from our Gong-star such as the conversation with about period sex, or during intimacy week when the "experts" gave each couple specific tasks to undertake.
"In one scene Jack was waving around an adult toy and cackling like a hyena, and he said giggling 'it's Christmas but for things you put in you'," laughed Mr P.
Of course the producers of MAFS make us wait until the tail-end of the Episode 35, biting our nails anxiously awaiting whether Dom will commit to Jack, or will there be a twist and he leave her bewildered with a mic-drop?
"You have made this experiment one of the most incredible experiences of my life," he bright said to Dom, as the rain pelted down. "I would love to continue this relationship on the outside world, because I truly believe we have something great."
The princess bogan responds with, "what a bloody incredible journey".
"It's no secret we have struggled through this experience," she said in her final vows. "I can't deny that I thought by this point in the experiment that my feelings would be much deeper than where they are ... [but] you are a one in a million guy and I'm hoping we can continue what we have."
It's a beautiful moment, our Mr P had a teary eye, though you had to laugh when Dom states her dress got ruined when Jake tried to complement how lovely she looked.
Will their relationship stand the test of time outside of the experiment?
There is still two episodes to go with the reunion dinner party on Sunday night to sort the wheat from the chaff with the voice over declaring "old wounds are reopened".
Monday night all will be revealed in front of the experts, including an affair.
Check back after the Monday's episode for our exclusive chat with Jack.
