The restaurant, proposed for the corner of Tongarra Road and Terry Street, was previously used as a service station.

The station was decommissioned in 2005.
A detailed site investigation requested by Shellharbour Council found there was bonded asbestos in the fill at some areas of the site which could be disturbed during construction.
No friable asbestos was found on the site.
The site inspection report recommended the "preparation of an Asbestos Management Plan detailing the recommended methodology for removal/management".
This would need to occur before any construction could begin.
