The boys could hold their heads up high leaving Lambert Park on Sunday.
The result mightn't have gone our way in the elimination final against Sydney Olympic, but there is plenty to be proud about given the way we finished this season.
To make that final was a magnificent achievement in itself.
For many of the lads it was the first time they'd played in a elimination game at this level, and it's an experience they will certainly learn from.
Olympic were very good on the afternoon, but our boys were far from disgraced.
Outside of Blacktown City, I don't think we have met a better side this season since myself, Dez and Alfredo took charge.
They deserve a lot of credit and it wouldn't be surprising to see them go a long way in this competition.
They're also looking down the barrel of a deep FFA Cup run, having already qualified for the round of 16.
For us, it's now all about looking towards next season.
Over the next few weeks hopefully we can get the ball rolling on building the squad for next season.
Given the success we have had over the past few months, it would be ideal to retain the majority of the players for 2016.
Obviously a lot of their performances in the second-half of the campaign haven't go unnoticed, with a few boys already catching the eye of A-League clubs for the upcoming youth and top-grade seasons.
We aren't here to stand in the way of boys playing at the top level, but if those opportunities don't eventuate, we would obviously love to keep everyone we can in Wolves colours for next season.
The squad already proved what they can achieve at their best and I expect we'd only improve on that next season.
Finally, a big congrats has to go to the Wolves' under 13s, 15s and 16s, who are still alive in their respective finals series.
To have three of the junior sides still playing for silverware shows how bright the future remains at the club.
In the coming years these young players will hopefully become the cornerstones of the first-grade squad. Fingers crossed they can go all the way.
