Top contender Zipping Floyd will benefit from a gun draw in box one as the semi-finals of the Group 3 Centrebet Dapto Maiden series take centre stage on Thursday.

Zipping Floyd, trained by Darryl Prestwidge, qualified second faster for the semis after blitzing his rivals in a time of 30.01 seconds in the heats. Zipping Floyd will jump in semi-final 2, with the heats fastest qualifier Curtain Call (30.00 seconds) jumping from box eight.
Martin Hallinan trained Zipping Chazza (30.18), which is a littermate to Zipping Floyd, will be the top chance when the classy heat winner runs in the opening semi.
George Borg’s Ben Hur (30.27), Robyn Goodwin trained Velocity Korina (30.75) and Patricia Chaker’s My Gal Penny (30.39) also took out heats last week. There will be four semi-finals in total held on Thursday night with the top two finishers in each qualifier progressing to the lucrative Group 3 final the following week.
Race one on the night jumps at 7.16pm.
