Kiama residents will be able to deposit their cans at Vinnies, 80 Terralong Street.
And seven of them are in the Wollongong local government area.
The scheme, designed to reduce litter, offers a 10-cent refund for every eligible can and bottle brought in.
It has been criticised for a slow rollout and a lack of information supplied to beverage makers and the public.
It starts this Friday, with some areas of the Illawarra having very limited coverage.
Shellharbour and Kiama areas each have just one collection point – in Oak Flats and the Kiama CBD respectively.
Wollongong has seven points – four in the northern suburbs, one in the CBD and two in the south.
“More collection points will be finalised as the scheme rolls out,” Environment Minister Gabrielle Upton said.
