After scoring 50 points in each of their first two matches, the Steelers went one better against the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy side, winning 76-24 at Henson Park.
The Steelers were led by Keeley Davis, who scored five tries in the victory, while Lily-Rose Bennett scored a hat-trick.
Davis also landed 11 conversions to bring her personal total for the match to 42 points.
Unfortunately the Steelers’ Harold Matthews and SG Ball sides couldn’t follow suit, suffering their first losses of the season to the Sydney Roosters.
The Harold Matthews Cup side lost a hard-fought contest 19-12 despite tries from Talatau Amone and Tryone Roberts.
The Jono Dallas and Matt O’Brien coached SG Ball side didn’t fare much better, falling 36-16 – despite tries from Tyrone Harding, Hudson Spicer and Jayden Sullivan.
