Chloe suffers from the rare and terminal Vanishing White Matter Disease and Mr Hush has done several things to help raise awareness and funding support for her and the family. This time the church and mission leader is also supporting two other children struggling with their own personal health battles.
They are 18 month old Beau McClinton who suffers from Ohtahara Syndrome. The rare, drug resistant, uncontrolled form of epilepsy can cause Beau to experience 40 large seizures a day.
And Michael Bereznai, 5, suffers from a rare childhood lung deficiency known as Neuroendocrine Hyperplasia of Infancy. There is no cure and very little is known about the disease. The 24 Drum-a-thon for Chloe, Beau and Michael starts at 5.30pm Friday at Corrimal Community Church Hub and finishes at 5.30pm Saturday.
“I’ve asked some close musician friends to give me some time over the 24 hours so I can play for them,” Mr Hush said.
“My Church support team will facilitate a variety of fun and entertaining sub-events to occur during the time
“I’m drumming that we will promote as supplementary draw cards to the event.
“I am hoping to raise at least $5000. And I am confident that we’ll give this total a real shake with the help of our network of family and friend connections and good people from local businesses who we hope will support through donations and products or services we can auction.”
