The road is closed in both directions for six hours on Wednesday and Thursday prompting the Roads and Maritime Service to recommend motorists plan for an additional 10 minutes travel time.
Detours are in place for light vehicles on Jamberoo Mountain Road and Terry Road.
Heavy Vehicles should take the Hume Motorway, Picton Road and M1 Princes Motorway.
